Rainbow 2021 - 2022

Dear Parents.

Welcome to Rainbow Class!

We are the first class in school, where the children's learning journey begins and have 11 pupils aged between five and seven years old. We follow an Early Years curriculum, with play-based and exploratory learning and have a great staff team of six to support the pupils.

We focus on foundation skills in class and aim to prepare our pupils for the next stage in their learning and we do this through focussing on the Prime areas of EYFS:

  • Communication and Language - we will establish communication method and work on developing intentional communication, speech, sign or symbol where appropriate.
  • Physical Development and independence and self-care - pupils will be well-supported in developing their independence skills as well as gross and fine motor skills.
  • Personal, Social and Emotional development - children will develop their understanding of routines, rules and boundaries and learn to play and interact with their peers.

Our aim is to ensure that pupils move on to the next class in school with the skills in place so that they are ready to learn.

Please find above our current topic and activities so you can keep up to date with what we are learning, as well as our newsletter.

If you have any questions, please contact school or message through Dojo and we will respond.

Many thanks, Kirsten, Emma and Rainbow Class team
